Our Story

Radiant Life began in 1998 with a simple but powerful moment.

Our founder, Dominic Hancock, walked through the streets of Byrathi and saw children who were invisible to most — children playing in dust instead of classrooms, carrying burdens far too heavy for their young shoulders. Where many saw poverty, he saw potential. Where others saw statistics, he saw stories waiting to be rewritten.

What began as a small play school was never just about education. It was about restoring childhood. It was about giving children a safe place to learn, to dream, and to believe that their future could be different.

As word spread, more children came. Each with their own struggles. Each with their own quiet hopes. Along the way, like-minded people joined hands, and together Radiant Life began to grow — not as an institution, but as a family.

Over the years, we have walked closely with more than 300 children, ensuring they completed their secondary education. We have stood beside over 1,000 families, offering not just support, but dignity, stability, and hope.

As the city expanded, Byrathi welcomed waves of migrant workers searching for opportunity. Nearly 60% of the community became migrant families. With this growth came new challenges — overcrowded homes, unstable incomes, and children at risk of losing their childhood to circumstances beyond their control.

Today, more than two decades later, we see the fruit of faithful investment. Children from marginalized families have gone on to complete their master’s degrees. Young boys and girls who once struggled for basic access to education are now confident, capable adults shaping their own futures.

What makes Radiant Life unique is not the size of our numbers, but the depth of our relationships. We do not believe in mass support. We believe in walking with each child — through the good, the bad, and the difficult. We celebrate their victories. We sit with them in their struggles. We refuse to let them walk alone.

when even one child’s story is transformed, a generation changes.
